O'z Kitchen Reviews
Best Japanese food I've had outside of Japan (besides my mom's...who is from Tokyo)!! It was all super fresh and tasty and portions are definitely generous for the price. I had the tempura meal and couldn't believe how perfectly the shrimp were cooked. Everything was super crispy and still very delicate....and we also ordered the katsudon. The sauce was amazing...not too sweet or salty..and the meat was actually all meat and not the fatty pieces you are sometimes (unpleasantly) surprised by. Service was fast and pleasant and the location is really cool. I highly recommend this amazing little place!! すごくおいしいかった !!!
New nice maintained food trailer in Randy's Huli Huli Chicken lot. Husband & wife working. Courteous & patient lady taking orders& man working the kitchen with her. Lot or variety & vegan dishes included. Had the Beef & rice with pickled vegetables. Served Japanese using prime beef , with or without rice.Excellent dish & tasty! Yakisoba served in a box , excellent dish & well made. California roll has 8 pieces and accompany those dishes very well.A good Stop ! Check their days & hours of operation. Good food!
Fun food truck with yummy, fresh cuisine. Everything we've had here is so good! Get to it sooner than later because they are so good they sometimes run out of items.
It's not often you find a delicious spot that ALSO has very reasonable prices AND great service!! O'z kitchen was an incredible place to stop at after hiking up from the Captain Cook monument. For 2 hungry people we shared the large beef bowl (tender well marinated thin beef with lots of rice, pickle ginger, onion), a huge shave ice with matcha and mango with condensed milk (it even had real mango!!!), and an iced green tea (so creamy and refreshing). This whole meal was less than $20!! They have a large tented area with picnic tables to eat. Would definitely return and recommend to others as everything was made to order, delicious, and so reasonably priced. Thank you for an ono meal and great service!!
O'z Kitchen is a wonderful place to grab a bite! The food is reasonably priced and delicious. We love coming here to eat often. The owners are very kind and provide the best service. It's no wonder why whenever we go it is always busy & there are always lots of cars parked. If you're looking for authentic Japanese food this is the spot. There's also a small tented area with picnic benches to eat if not taking the food out. The area is clean and well maintained. Highly recommend
Drove by O'z after hiking Captain Cook and the shaved ice sign made us turn - we were in need of a cool treat. Really happy we took the bait! My husband and I shared a lemon/mango shaved ice (without milk) and a chocolate Taiyaki (yes, it was warm but... chocolate is always a yes). Both items were delicious, affordable, and not a long wait. Service was friendly, plenty of parking, and seemed to have a lot of other good items on the menu. Would definitely recommend giving them a go!
The food truck is located where Randys Huli Huli normally is Good food. Fast food japanese style
Drove by here after visiting two step. You'll know you drove by O'z cause you drive by a massive Japanese flag on the side of the road. I ordered the Ginger Pork which was a more simple Shyoga Yaki. Very homey, very well seasoned, and the pork was so succulent. Very impressive for food truck food, and would also be excellent if it were a brick and mortar restaurant. Glad I tried this! 5/5. If you ever drive by O'z please support their business! Serving amazing japanese food out of a little food t
***(at least for the month of May) TAIYAKI and shave ice are only available on the weekends** huge bummer to learn that when we got there as I hadn't seen this posted anywhere. This is a food truck up in coffee country so to speak, we tried it out for lunch while out doing the coffee tours. Note there's no inside, but they have a few picnic benches to eat at. I highly highly recommend getting the curry dish, my husband got the curry katsu and I kept trying to steal a bite. I ordered the fried chicken dish, it was perfectly breaded/cooked and was tasty, but I do wish it had maybe a sauce or something that came on top.

Really great service and very quick serving time! Everything that my wife and I tried was delicious! The standout was definitely for me the gyu-don! (Beef bowl). It tasted just like what I've had in Japan, so it brought out some good memories of my trips back. My wife got the curry with katsu-don and she absolutely loved it. The curry was sweet and savory and perfectly portioned! The last thing we got was the spam musubi, which my wife said it looks really cute haha. Because it was cut into 5 smaller pieces that were much easier to eat than the norm that you would see. If you're looking for some Japanese comfort food, absolutely make your way out here!
